We asked Roberto, an expert in different musical genres, to give us ideas to write an article about «songs with bees.» We suspected that he was not going to talk us about the Bee Maya song. Fortunately we succeed and these are their proposals: «I’m a king bee», from Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush and the song «Queen Bee», from Taj Mahal.
Frank Marino and his band, the Mahogany Rush. Frank is an italian- canadian guitarist, born in Montreal in 1954, who had his greatest successes in the last 70´s. During the 60´s he listened to Hendrix, the Beatles and The Doors, in an atmosphere filled with the peace movement . The guitar and drugs helped him to get his own style, and it was during concerts in live where he gave the best of him. I’m a king bee song appeared on his album «Live» (1978), written by James Isaac Moore in 1957. Afer listening the lyrics it is not surprising that the author sang in bars and nightclubs.

Taj Mahal. This singer born in 1942 in the New York (neighborhood of Harlem), can boast some Grammy Awards in the category of blues. The song Queen Bee appears in their album «Evolution» of 1978. In his music Taj Mahal has mixed many world cultures. Today still active, we read with surprise, that in his youth it seemed that life on the farm attracted him more than his passion for music.
